• A battlefield is being smoothed flat like soft beeswax pressed by an invisible palm: hills slump, ramparts melt into ripples, and every warrior of both armies is peeled off the ground and pressed into a thin engraved tablet. The tablets spin upward in a double whirlwind, one indigo and one beeswax gold, that pours down into two neat stacks standing on stone pedestals in opposite corners, as if the whole war were being put away. Fragments of the landscape swirl in the vortex: tents, banners of woven reed, a broken war drum. Palette: beeswax beige and honey gold, deep indigo, soft cream highlights. Camera: tilted high overhead view, the two whirlwinds forming an S-curve across the frame. Mood: surreal, a cosmic reset, everything returning to where it began.
